A Laundry Connection Box is a utility box with a laundry drain, laundry hot water connection valve, and laundry cold water connection valve. The valves connect to the rough water piping in the wall. The two-inch waste outlet connects to the rough drain piping in the wall. Once installed you will need a set of hoses to connect your washer to the box. The discharge waste hose of your washer inserts into the two-inch drain port in the box. It is a wise idea to anchor the waste hose to the box with zip ties. I have many customers who turn the valves off when they leave town. It is very convenient to have accessible valves to shut off your washer in an emergency or if it needs service. A laundry connection box is a great way to have the convenience and control over your wash machine’s connection to your home plumbing system.
