There are many different designs and colors of lavatory faucets.  You can choose from traditional and contemporary designs.  Lavatory faucets can have one or two handles.  A standard lavatory faucet mounts in four-inch drilling.  Lavatory faucets usually come with a matching pop-up drain assembly.  I recommend making sure the faucet you buy comes with a pop-up of brass construction.  Brass pop-ups are far superior to plastic pop-ups.

Standard Lavatory Faucet

The most common lavatory faucet is the four-inch center-set lavatory faucet.  The standard drilling is three holes spaced two inches apart from each other.

Single Hole Lavatory Faucet

In order to have a single-hole lavatory faucet you need a lavatory sink that has single-hole drilling.

If you have a lavatory sink with a standard three-hole four-inch drilling and would like to install a lavatory faucet that has the style and look of a single-hole faucet you might consider a single-hole type lavatory faucet with base-plate.  The base plate covers the three-hole four-inch drilling.  It is not quite as clean and simple looking as the single-hole lavatory faucet but it is a good way to have the look without having to change your lavatory sink.

Widespread Lavatory Faucet

A widespread lavatory faucet has a more luxurious nicer look.  It has a more elegant center spout with two handles for hot and cold.  It is typically installed in an eight-inch to sixteen-inch drilling.

Wall-mount Lavatory Faucet

The wall-mounted lavatory faucet has a unique look.  It is a very nice design.
