Moen Two Handle Kitchen Faucet Leak Repair
I was called out on a service call to repair a kitchen faucet that constantly dripped. This customer owned a Moen two-handle kitchen faucet. Different faucets contain different working mechanisms. Common parts include cartridges, washers, and seats. It is important to identify the brand and model of the faucet in order to identify what parts are needed to repair the faucet.
A Faucet Leak Wastes Water
A faucet that constantly drips can waste a significant amount of water. To stop the leak the faucet should be repaired or replaced. A repair or rebuild is the easiest way to stop a faucet leak. Sometimes replacing soft parts in a faucet fails to stop the leak. When this happens it is time to replace the faucet.
Moen 1224 Faucet Cartridge
Moen uses a cartridge in this two-handle kitchen faucet. The Moen 1224 cartridge. It is a simple lead-free cartridge.
