The Early Years

As a child, an erector set was one of my favorite toys. I grew up building and flying U-Control model airplanes. In my early teens, after building many kits, I built my first model airplane from scratch. I purchased a set of blueprints from Model Airplane Magazine. I built a U-Control stunt plane with a four-and-a-half-foot wingspan.

My grandfather was a master woodworker. He taught my father many skills. But from his youth, my father knew he wanted to be an electrical engineer. My Father taught me how to work with my hands at an early age.

Learning The Trades

In High School, I worked for the local hardware store. This gave me an excellent start in learning all about different home repair materials and methods. A retired man who also worked at the store had a side business as a handyman. He hired me as a helper in some of his jobs. Then a good friend of my father who had a full-time building maintenance business took me under his wing. By the mid-eighties, I was self-employed running a full-time handyman and bathroom remodeling business. I enjoyed plumbing so I decided to pursue a plumbing career.

The Birth Of NC Master Plumber, LLC

In 1995 I sat for the NC residential plumbing license exam and passed. In 1997 I sat for the NC Commercial Class I Unlimited Plumbing License and passed. Since that time I have practiced plumbing in the State Of North Carolina.

Getting Outside

As an Eagle Scout, I am an avid camper.  When I’m not working, I like to get outdoors to camp, hike, fish, kayak, and canoe in the beautiful natural places of North Carolina.

With My Son

My son received a liver transplant at UNC Hospital when he was four months old,  God has blessed me with him.  In this picture with my dad (2009), he is eleven.   I spend as much time with him as I can.  While in high school, he designed and created my logo.  It is the image of his childhood dog “Vanah” (a Chocolate Labrador)  wearing a yellow hard hat and holding a red pipe wrench in her mouth.  He is now an ECU graduate.

Singer, Song-Writer

I’ve been writing songs since I was sixteen, and I studied Composition/Theory at UW Milwaukee.  I am a keyboard/vocalist.  I enjoy working with Ableton Live music software to create and record music. Music will always be a part of my life.
